What this quote means is to be happy and to stay happy you must be have obedience. With out Obedience you could end up being sad or never be happy. When you do something right like turn in you h.w then youll be happy because if you don't turn in your h.w then you'll end up having a bad grade and your parents could take something you like away like your phone or t.v. So having Obedience in your life is good youll have a good like with it and also be happy all the time.
